Here are some of the more common ladder accessories and their usage.

Extension ladder covers
These Werner extension ladder covers protect the surface your extension ladder is leaning against.
Extension ladders have side rails of various dimensions, be sure to measure your side rails before purchasing covers for your ladder.
Ladder Jack
This Werner ladder jack provides support for a plank suspended between two extension ladders.
This is a quick and convenient method to be used when a complete scaffold is not needed or is impossible to setup.
Two ladder jacks are required for each plank. A three rung ladder jack will be stronger and more stable than a two rung ladder jack.
These ladder jacks are designed for 12" rung spacing only and are not adjustable.
Nearly all extension ladders have 12" rung spacing, however some may be as little as 10" and as much as 14".
The work platform / plank can be hung in front of the ladder or behind the ladder.
Four ladder jacks enable you to set two of the ladder jacks for your lower "standing" platform on the backside of the ladders, up close to the wall.
Then use the other two ladder jacks three rungs higher up and on the front side of the ladders, to support a 2"x12" board or another plank, to be used as a safety rail behind you.
Ladder hooks & V-Rung
This Werner ladder hooks and V-Rung assembly enable your extension ladder to safely lean against a horizontal cable or vertical pole without slipping off.
Without the use of ladder hooks, the cable will push away from your ladder as you climb.
Without the use of a V-Rung, your ladder will twist and roll off of the pole as you climb closer to the top.
Ladder platform
This Werner ladder platform provides a larger standing surface for multi-function ladders.
The AC18MT Platform is for use on the MT series multi-ladder.
Slip-resistant surface for comfortable and secure standing.
Aluminum construction. Easily kicks out of the way for safe climbing.
Load capacity is 300 pounds.
Ladder stabilizer
This Werner ladder stabilizer enables your extension ladder to span windows, and openings.
